Jewellery with only gold and diamond can use warm, well-diluted soapy water whereas, jadeite should be avoided. Rinse with water, and pat dry with a soft cloth.
Jadeite jewellery should be treated with special care as it can break, crack or chip if dropped or knocked against hard surfaces. Do not use any jewellery cleansers or household detergents. Ultrasonic cleaner should be avoided as well.
Extra care should be taken to avoid exposing your jewellery to household chemicals like bleach or ammonia, or when swimming in chlorinated water. These chemicals may cause colour changes and even structural damage to the jewellery.
